I’m a former commodity trader and investment writer who, after two decades of chasing after the utterly insubstantial and meaningless, has since devoted his life to working for the environment and protecting Mother Earth.
Someone once told me “If you teach them to love the planet, they will want to protect it.” This is my mission: to show humanity the beauty of Wilderness so that they will fall in love with Her as I have.
And protect Her always…

Hi Mark,
I’m a friend of Barb and Larry. Barb told me about your writing, so I checked it out tonight. You’re awesome! I got totally involved in reading your work. I love what you say and how you say it. Keep up the great work and thank you.
Your new friend, Nancy
thank you!
Hi Mark:
Came across your site, following links from the world of the Klingons.
I, too, decided money couldn’t buy the “good life” my family has now on our organic farm in Wisconsin, powered by the wind and sun. We eat like millionaires, too, without having to be one.
Keep on keeping on!
John (aka Ivan)
